This year’s Garden Village is a riot of colours and fragrances where every petal is bloomin’ gorgeous.
IN THE GARDEN VILLAGE, visitors are treated to a kaleidoscope of botanical wonders – from vibrant horticultural displays to exquisite floral exhibits. Here, guests and growers can engage with exhibitors, landscapers and traders while soaking up advice and inspiration for their own green endeavours.
In collaboration with local primary and secondary schools, the Garden Village will feature breathtaking arrangements, show gardens, plant nurseries and wheelbarrow displays. “More than 10 schools are taking part in the School Garden Display Competition this year,” said Kristopher Harper-Allison, head horticultural judge and steward of the Royal Norfolk Show. “We also welcome the Papillon Project to the schools area.”
Show-goers can explore the colourful Floral Marquee where the Norfolk and Norwich Horticultural Society will be holding their summer show, which features cut flowers, pot plants and fruit and vegetables, while Norwich Group of Flower Clubs will exhibit a range of floral art.
Plus, The Greenhouse Pro will be showcasing a selection of its most popular greenhouses – from entry-level and budget-friendly to premium Victorian-style greenhouses and accessories. There will be a ‘Grow Your Own Sunflower’ competition, encouraging children and grown-ups alike to participate in planting a seed in a pot of compost, take it home to nurture and care for it. Share their journey by submitting photo entries via social media. and after a few weeks, The Greenhouse Pro will crown a winner of the biggest and best sunflower, who will then receive a prize.
